Omat Wins Grand Prize of the 2025 Guangdong Vacuum Science and Technology Progress Award

Recently, the 9th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Vacuum Technology Innovation and Development Forum and the 2025 Guangdong Province Vacuum Society Academic Annual Meeting were held in Chaozhou City. The 2025 Guangdong Province Vacuum Technology Progress Award was awarded at the meeting. The "High-conductivity Copper Electrode and Its Large-Area High-definition Display Application" project, which Olai New Materials participated in the research and development and mass production, won the special prize of the 2025 Guangdong Province Vacuum Technology Progress Award.

The Guangdong Province Vacuum Technology Progress Award is a professional award established by the Guangdong Province Vacuum Society to recognize projects that have achieved important innovative results in the field of vacuum technology. The award is selected once a year, and the award-winning projects must have technological advancement, industrial application value or scientific breakthrough.

The "High Conductivity Copper Electrode and Its Large-Area High-Definition Display Applications" project was jointly developed by Oolai New Materials, South China University of Technology, TCL Huaxing Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., Jinan University, Sun Yat-sen University and other units, and Oolai New Materials implemented target mass production. The project is aimed at the urgent need for high-performance electrode materials for new display technologies for large size, high resolution, and flexible development. In response to the insufficient electrical properties of traditional aluminum and molybdenum electrodes and the poor adhesion, easy diffusion and difficulty in etching accuracy of copper electrodes, innovative research on high-performance copper electrode materials and integrated processes has been carried out.
