Omat Partners with Gangyan Haopu to Advance China's Materials-Industry Technological Progress
On January 21, Guangdong Omat Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Omat Advanced Materials") and Gangyan Haopu Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Gangyan Haopu") held a signing ceremony at Omat Advanced Materials' Shaoguan headquarters. The two sides joined hands to jointly advance technological progress in China's materials industry. Lü Zhoujin, Chairman and General Manager of Gangyan Haopu, and Wen Hongfu, Chairman, General Manager and Chief Technology Officer of Omat Advanced Materials, attended the ceremony and witnessed the signing.
Under the agreement, the two parties will, based on their respective technological accumulation and experience, actively promote R&D breakthroughs and technical alignment in hot isostatic pressing (HIP) equipment, technology, and services required for materials production. Guided by the needs of both sides, each will leverage its technological strengths, strengthen cooperation and exchanges, carry out relevant work, improve product quality, reduce production costs, secure supply levels, reinforce specialized supporting equipment, and drive the application of next-generation large-scale equipment.
At the ceremony, the two sides held in-depth exchanges on industry technology development trends and reached consensus on relevant cooperation matters. They stated that they would take the signing of this strategic cooperation agreement as an opportunity and follow the path of "strong-strong alliance and resource exchange" to open up the supply chain and enhance the value chain, giving full play to Omat Advanced Materials' innovation capability and market flexibility as a STAR Market-listed company, combined with Gangyan Haopu's resource advantages and brand influence in hot isostatic pressing, to pragmatically advance the cooperation on Guangdong's largest hot isostatic pressing equipment project, and jointly contribute to the development of Shaoguan's advanced materials industry and to Guangdong's industry "bearing the load."
Lü Zhoujin highlighted Gangyan Haopu's recent breakthroughs in HIP equipment R&D and process innovation, and, combined with cutting-edge domestic and international application cases, offered an in-depth analysis of the core value of HIP technology in high-end materials. He said that, facing the new opportunities brought by the rapid development of the materials industry, Gangyan Haopu is willing to leverage its full-industry-chain technological advantages to conduct in-depth alignment with Omat Advanced Materials in equipment application and process development, jointly explore new paths for industry development, and empower the upgrading of the new materials industry with hard-core technology.
Wen Hongfu introduced to the visiting guests the new breakthroughs and results Omat Advanced Materials achieved over the past year in R&D and production across its three business segments—high-performance targets, high-performance metals, and key materials and core components for frontier technology. He said that, as a batch of new equipment and technologies are applied on the production lines, Omat Advanced Materials' leading edge in high-performance targets has been further consolidated, and he hopes the two sides will give full play to their respective advantages in technology R&D, industrial resources, and market application, and work together to open up the broad market for high-performance targets and high-performance metals.
Guangdong's largest hot isostatic pressing machine is scheduled to begin operation this March at Omat Advanced Materials' Shaoguan Ruyuan base. This will effectively enhance Omat Advanced Materials' capabilities in densification and compositing of high-performance targets, key materials for frontier technology, and core components, and raise product performance and added value.
